About the role

Role purpose:

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day financial & accounting activities .

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a trusted advisor to the Financial Controller, participating in staff meetings and providing financial insights to support decision-making.
Responsible for general accounting and SG&A related tasks (journals, balance sheet and working capital analysis, staff costs and etc)
Manage Treasury functions (bank transactions, forex hedging and etc.)
Assist the Financial Controller in Tax Compliance matters (VAT, Withholding Tax, CIT and e-Invoiving)
Assist the Financial Controller in Audit Compliance matters (IFRS, external and internal audit)
Prepare Financial Statements and year-end audit schedules.
Enhance accounting policies and procedures to improve general ledger operations, internal controls, and IFRS compliance.
Manage fixed asset control and reconciliation.
Mentor and coach the financial analysts
Coordinate and support special projects and ad hoc analysis.

Key Challenges:

Ensure timely and accurate accounting and reporting in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams on financial matters.
Multi-task and prioritise work in a fast-pace organisation

Critical Skills & Experience:

Qualifications and Certification

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
Professional Degree in Accounting or Finance Field (CPA or CMA) is an added advantage

Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Accounting in an MNC environment.
Those with relevant experience in the Dairy or food industry will have a strong advantage.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards
Proven ability to analyze financial data and provide insights

Good analytical skills to identify discrepancies and mismatch
High integrity and ethical standards
Attention to detail with a quality mindset
Resilient and adaptable with positive hands-on attitude in changing regulatory environments
