Position Description
Role Purpose:
- Develop and implement strategies based on channel, category, and shopper insights to drive trade and business planning, support marketing alignment, and engage key customers with growth-focused selling stories, while also setting and reviewing sales benchmarks for continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities:
Monthly Business Review
- Business & Category Performance (Internal & Nielsen)
- Consumer Metrics i.e Penetration
- Market Intelligence i.e Competitor Performance, Promo & Pricing Activity, NPD
- Sales Fundamental Review
Business Planning & Trade Planning
- Business planning & trade planning by leveraging on insight from channel, category, shopper trends, past learnings and business drivers.
- Ability to derive commercial viability thru business case assessment & make recommendation.
- Work with trade marketing team to ensure operation viability for the proposed plan.
NPD Business Feasibility & Trade Launch Plan
- Review Business feasibility for new NPDs with marketing.
- Input into NPDs business case based on expected investment needed to facilitate new NPDs on trade perspective.
- Plan NPD launch plan to ensure clarity & expectation is put forth to sales team.
- Track matrix & measurements to ensure accountability and learnings captured for future NPDs.
National Consumer Promotion
- Planning & Past Performance Review
- Work with marketing in ensuring all trade requirement is being communicated & executed to facilitate execution.
- Define Metrics & measure for all key deliverables
Periodic Review of Sales Fundamental Benchmark To ensure competitiveness
- Inclusive of review of category & channel data that may have impact on how we play within different category & channel.
- This inclusive of review of product distribution, pricing, placement, promotion & displays benchmark periodically to reflect latest market dynamic.
- A tertiary qualification in marketing or business
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Trade Marketing / Marketing
- Proven experience in Trade planning, NPD launch planning and market analysis for channels, categories and shoppers.
- Good analytical skills with strong commercial acumen
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills and able to work well with cross-functional teams.
- Result-driven, proactive, able to think strategically and good leadership ability.
- Detailed-oriented and has strong project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
