About the opportunity
Based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, the purpose of this position is to provide support to the Regulatory Affairs Lead and the Product Resolutions Specialist in the Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) team. The FSQR Associate also supports the FSQ Specialists and work closely with the wider FSQR team.
This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and customer requirements, as well as coordinating product defects, maintaining master data, and FSQR administration. This role will also contribute to the development and improvement of FSQR systems and processes and supports succession planning in the FSQR team.
Accountabilities
As an FSQR Associate, you will report directly to the Regulatory Affairs Lead, with a dotted line to the Product Resolutions Specialist in the Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) team. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and customer requirements, as well as coordinating product defects, maintaining master data, and FSQR administration. You will also contribute to the development and improvement of FSQR systems and processes.
Your main tasks will include:
Regulatory Affairs: You will handle eligibility and compliance requests from customers and internal stakeholders, monitor and analyse EU and other European country regulations that affect our business, and represent Fonterra in (Dutch) trade associations.
Product Resolutions: You will manage inspection plans, certificate of analysis requests, FSQR requests, workflow management, downgrade execution, hold release requests, and business improvement projects.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, preferably Master's degree in Food Science or Food Law
- Recent graduates with a strong interest in the dairy industry or a keen interest in quality & regulatory are welcome to apply
- 1-2 years of experience in the food industry, preferably in the dairy industry will be a strong advantage
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software preferred
- Fluency in English and Dutch is essential
- Teamwork abilities with good problem-solving ability
- Process management skills
