About The Role
As our next Maintenance Fitter and Turner Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain skills and become qualified in a specialised profession through fantastic hands-on training.
For your first and second years, you will learn the components of mechanical items while you help and support fitters and electricians with their jobs. As you gain more confidence into your third and fourth years, you will get more involved in maintenance activities and learn to address breakdowns.
You will develop skills and knowledge in a specialised profession through formal and on-the-job training within our site services team.
About You
You must be committed to a four-year apprenticeship and have the following ideal skills and experience:
- You will have completed Year 12 VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) OR completed VCAL/ VET
- Good grades in Math and Physics
- Dairy Knowledge is advantageous
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Strong communication skills with a can-do attitude and a team-focused approach to work.
- Availability to start mid-year 2024
- Basic computer skills
- Pre-apprenticeship advantageous
Hours of work are 7 am to 3:45 pm onsite five days a week with one-day off-site at TAFE when required.
