About the opportunity

Fonterra is seeking a GM Leadership and Enterprise Capability to build and enhance our company wide capability strategy for leadership and sales across Fonterra. This role is crucial in developing learning solutions that align with Fonterra’s strategic goals, creating an environment where our people can thrive and achieve success.

The role will include designing and implementing learning solutions that focus on leadership, sales, and a range of prioritized core enterprise skills, such as commercial acumen. Additionally, the role supports our enterprise Culture strategy by collaborating with the GM Culture to develop and measure cultural initiatives.

The position will lead a team of specialists and work closely with business leaders, People & Culture (P&C), and external partners. The goal is to integrate leadership, sales, and core enterprise skills as essential drivers of performance, growth, and employee experience.

Responsibilities and accountabilities will include:

Strategic leadership and sales capability development: Lead the implementation of a globally recognised leadership and sales capability solutions, ensuring the delivery of relevant, effective, and scalable solutions throughout the Co-op aligned to Fonterra’s strategic goals and business priorities.
Enterprise capability development: Lead the implementation of priority enterprise capability solutions ensuring the delivery of relevant, effective, and scalable solutions throughout the Co-op.
Leadership system stewardship and strategic adviser. Oversee the design and evolution of the Leadership DNA and a globally recognised approach to leadership development, ensuring consistent adoption across the employee lifecycle. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior executives on leadership capability.
Governance and measurement: Establish enterprise governance for leadership and sales programs.
Team leadership and collaboration: Lead, coach, and develop direct reports, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and maintain a cohesive and high-performing leadership development function.
·Stakeholder engagement: Build strong relationships with senior leaders, functional heads ad regional leaders to support program ownership and accountability.
Innovation and thought leadership: Bring external insights, research, and innovation into the enterprise to ensure Fonterra remains future-fit in its leadership.

About you:

The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies, qualifications and experience:

Leadership strategy and frameworks: Deep expertise in leadership practices and designing, evolving, and embedding leadership
Enterprise program governance: Skilled in managing large portfolios and governance frameworks for leadership and learning initiatives p systems at enterprise scale.
Tertiary qualifications in Organisation Development, Psychology, Business, Human Resources, or related fields.
Professional qualifications/development in Change Management, Leadership Coaching, Adaptive ways of working, or Leadership 360/Psychometrics.
Experienced senior people leader with 3+ years leading enterprise learning, leadership, or culture strategies in a complex, large organisation.
Demonstrated success working in complex and matrixed organisations, influencing senior executives, aligning people strategies with business goals, and leading change effectively.
