About the Opportunity

As the Key Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving growth for Fonterra USA’s protein ingredients portfolio, with a focus on CPG customers in North America operating within cultured and dairy food segments.

Reporting to the Sales Director, North America, you will be responsible for managing key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities with your accounts and delivering value through innovative, high-quality dairy protein solutions.

This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring deep market knowledge, commercial expertise, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive revenue and strengthen customer partnerships.

Own and grow key accounts – Drive sales, manage forecasts, and deliver on financial targets.
Develop strategic partnerships – Work closely with CPG customers, identifying opportunities to innovate and grow.
Be the expert – Provide market insights, pricing strategies, and supply recommendations for protein ingredients.
Lead with collaboration – Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Technical, and Supply Chain teams in both the US and New Zealand.
Champion innovation – Leverage global dairy trends and consumer insights to bring new, value-added solutions to market.

About you

You’ll be a results-driven sales professional, ideally with expertise selling B2B protein ingredients to large CPG’s. As a Key Account Manager, you’ll be able to lead strategic partnerships, whilst also driving value through quality protein ingredients.

As a senior member of the sales team, you will take ownership of a significant protein portfolio, maintaining key accounts and uncovering new growth opportunities within those accounts in a fast-paced and competitive market.

Proven success in key account management and sales, with a track record of delivering growth and profitability.
Strong business acumen and negotiation skills to drive value through pricing, supply chain, and innovation strategies.
Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-performing environment, managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
