In Global Markets - Ingredients (GMI), we operate an integrated business encompassing dairy in the ingredients and foodservice channels to generate value for Fonterra. About the opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a sourcing professional to build strong vendor relationships and drive strategic procurement at Fonterra USA. As the key point of contact for sourcing, you will manage vendor relationships, optimize procurement processes, and ensure seamless supply chain operations. In addition to this you will:

Lead the sourcing function, managing vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement projects.
Be the primary escalation point, ensuring the smooth supply of goods and services to Fonterra.
Drive cost efficiency and supplier performance through strategic sourcing and contract management.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across sales, food service, supply chain, and quality teams.
Identify new sourcing opportunities, optimize vendor performance, and support business growth.

About you

You’re a proactive, analytical, and results-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You enjoy problem-solving, building relationships, and ensuring smooth procurement operations. In addition to this you will bring:

3-5 years of experience in sourcing, with knowledge of the US market, vendors, and suppliers.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to drive cost savings and strategic value.
Excellent analytical and inventory management skills to optimize procurement decisions.
The ability to communicate effectively and engage with both internal teams and external suppliers.
Proficiency in Excel, SAP, and Ariba for contract and sourcing management is advantageous.
A growth mindset, eager to develop into a leadership role within the sourcing function.
