About the opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga
An opportunity has opened up within Fonterra’s IT/OT team as we expand our capabilities in managing, administering, and supporting RedHat Linux. We’re looking for an experienced Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Linux Server Operating Systems—preferably RedHat—within an enterprise environment to join our diverse and supportive OT Infrastructure team.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in implementing and maintaining secure OT Systems Infrastructure that powers Fonterra’s manufacturing automation environment. As a subject matter expert, you’ll provide valuable support and guidance to the business and fellow engineers on adopting and maintaining RedHat Linux, Satellite Server, and related Linux administration.
Your expertise won’t stop there; you’ll also take on primary and secondary responsibilities in other technologies aligned with your experience, ensuring our systems run smoothly and efficiently. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

You're a skilled Systems Engineer who is passionate about infrastructure engineering and supporting your team’s growth. You enjoy keeping up with emerging technologies and continuously learning to stay ahead in this ever-evolving field. Your ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, straightforward way makes you a valuable bridge between technical and non-technical teams.
With a solid background in Computer Science and hands-on experience in large-scale System Infrastructure, you’re well-versed in MS Windows, Active Directory, Virtualization/VMware, Server and SAN Hardware, and related technologies. You’re great at building relationships, and your experience in manufacturing or OT environments adds valuable depth to your expertise.
