Position Description
Role Purpose
Responsible for growing the business and achieving the annual sales targets by optimizing resources allocated to the region. This is accomplished through the development of comprehensive medical and operational plans aligned with national strategies, along with effective coaching and supervision of a team of Nutritional Executives (NE). The role also includes managing the allocated budget to generate demand and meet set objectives.
Role Accountabilities
- Manage A&P and OPEX within the allocated annual budget to ensure profitability while achieving set objectives.
- Conduct field training for NEs as per the training plan, enhancing team skills to meet sales targets.
- Support NEs in demand generation and recommendations to meet the required target, ensuring sales goals are met and providing data for CRM to build customer linkages and brand loyalty.
- Oversee expenses within the assigned area to ensure effective fund allocation and maximize returns on investment, allowing for reinvestment into the business.
- Review and control NE claims to prevent misuse and ensure audit compliance.
- Collaborate with the Area/Regional Sales Manager to ensure product availability in key retail outlets, maximizing sales and minimizing product switching due to stock shortages.
- Identify key decision-makers and build relationships to secure more rotations/recommendations and speakers for CME programs.
- Partner with the Sales Education Manager to establish training curricula for NE, raising skill levels to achieve sales targets.
- Work with the Medical Marketing Manager to conduct medical activities, building medical equity for company products and securing endorsements from prescribing doctors.
- Motivate and monitor the team to achieve key result areas, ensuring the accomplishment of set objectives.
Skills and Experience:
- A degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a Bachelor of Science in food science/food technology.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in sales or nutrition/science fields.
- A proven track record in problem-solving, sales, negotiation, and influencing.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- A strong business acumen and ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
- An inquisitive, positive attitude with a passion for tackling challenges.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in Bahasa and/or Mandarin being an advantage.
- Willingness to relocate is required, as the position will be based in Johor Bahru (JB).
