About the opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga
We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to be at the heart of driving the commercial strategy and enhancing business performance with expertise and rigor.
Reporting into the GM Commercial, Innovation & Brand, you'll be the key connector across departments—category, marketing, finance, and R&D—ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment with Fonterra’s cutting-edge innovation goals.
This role is perfect for a strategic powerhouse with sharp analytical expertise, a deep understanding of finance and accounting principles, and the ability to turn insights into impactful business decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with targeted individual Innovation projects and programmes to ensure commercial rigour and achievement of value creation goals is occurring.
- Support innovation and R&D community to continually drive towards pan-Fonterra excellent strategic resource allocation and value creation
- Support in the creation of Innovation & Brand (I&B) annual budget and business plan.
- Monitor both financial and innovation pipeline performance
About you | Mōu
You hold a tertiary qualification in commerce, accounting, or finance, and possess Chartered Accountant (CA), CFA status, or a similar relevant postgraduate qualification. With significant experience in finance or commercial roles, you have demonstrated expert commercial knowledge and a strong track record in business partnering to drive strategic value creation.
Your ability to analyse and effectively utilise data is exceptional, allowing you to deliver transparent, reliable insights that support complex and judgment-based decision-making. Your proven ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders will see you influence with ease and steer the business towards success.
You have a deep understanding of finance and accounting principles, and your strong corporate awareness will be essential as you navigate Fonterra’s fast paced and complex financial environment.
