Position Description
Role Purpose:
This role oversees the creation of Material Master Data for finished goods, packaging materials, and ingredients, finalizes master data setup across departments including procurement, quality, customer service, warehouse, and new product developments, ensures activation of Material Master before transactions, extends item codes from sources in New Zealand and Australia, maintains existing item codes, and handles complaints related to finished goods and powder sourced from New Zealand.
Key Accountabilities:
Excellence Customer Service
- Always practice Fonterra Co-operative spirit values when working with demand, sales, marketing, production, procurement, warehouse, logistics and customer service and strive towards meeting the supply chain KPIs.
- Ensuring customer feedback and complaints are addressed and handled timely and efficiently.
Product Supply Management
- Responsible and ensure continuous stock availability for sales attainment and DIFOT fulfillment by minimizing out-of-stock situations.
- Implement and maintain Inventory and Material Management Strategies by regular review to ensure the optimisation of inventory parameters and levels.
- Define the feasible and accurate replenishment plan based on validated forecast, agreed lead time and resource availability (e.g. finished goods, packaging, and production capacity).
- Conduct regular business and performance review with relevant parties to ensure the updated and correct direction in product supply plan whilst maximising service levels and optimising stocks.
- Monitor and manage the supplier service level on shipment schedule and supply constraint to prevent any breakdown to production, 3rd party manufacturer and customer requirements.
- Plan and handle the end-to-end local sub-contracting activities by considering in-house production capacity utilization, company taxable issues, transportation arrangement, co-manufacturing fees and production losses percentage.
- Accommodate the business direction and requirements to ensure the success of any new product launch, new formulation launch and promotion activities with the internal team and across the region.
- Ensure the accountable and accurate item master data maintenance and amendment in Fonterra System.
Inventory Control
- Monitor and manage inventory according to the inventory policy & guidelines in order to provide excellent service level to customers / markets whilst minimizing the inventory holding cost.
- Work with the internal stakeholder team (e.g. CS, logistics, etc.) on a systematic process to identify and manage potential inventory obsolescence promptly so the potential risk of write-off can be identified and mitigated.
- Conduct out-of-stock analysis to define the supply issue and root cause for mitigating action recommendations and avoid reoccurrence in the future.
Process & SOP Implementation
- Implement process or procedure systematically to ensure lean, logical, practical, effective, cost efficient and safety aspects are incorporated.
- Maintain and own the respective SOP to ensure continuous improvement activities are documented and repeatable.
- Perform the job well and facilitates consistency in the quality and integrity of a process.
- Ensure adherence to the ISO procedures and any other regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements;
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience in Production scheduling & Material Planning in the manufacturing / FMCG industry.
- Proficiency in SAP System and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
