About the opportunity

Reporting to the General Counsel and VP FSQR this role will see you lead the Food Safety Quality (FSQ) team for the Americas, driving compliance and quality initiatives across our products to ensure the highest standards are met. This position offers a unique chance to shape the safety and quality of our offerings and be a part of Fonterra’s growth in North America and LATAM. In addition to this you will:

Own and drive strategic FSQ initiatives to support Fonterra’s goals in the Americas.
Lead a small, dedicated team, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
Ensure adherence to Fonterra’s global food safety and quality standards across all operations.
Bring experience from both QA and broader business contexts, balancing business objectives with risk mitigation and engaging effectively across teams.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
Take charge of food crisis management, ensuring rapid and effective responses.

About you

You are an experienced leader in food safety and quality, passionate about driving high standards and continuous improvement. Your collaborative approach and strategic mindset make you a natural fit for this critical role. In addition to this you will have:

Experience in the food industry and FSQ leadership.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience managing food quality systems (GMP, HACCP) and be familiar with US food regulations.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
Confidence in making decisions and recommendations, with the ability to assess situations and propose a forward course of action.
Experience interacting with government agencies, including handling audits and engaging comfortably with auditors.
