The role
Our Fonterra Tullamarine site is looking for a detail-oriented Maintenance Planner/Inventory Controller to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the maintenance inventory to ensure that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with the maintenance and engineering teams to ensure that all necessary parts and materials are available when needed, liaise with production planning for maintenance opportunities, contributing to the overall reliability and performance of our production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and control maintenance inventory, including ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing parts and materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and generate reports to maintain optimal stock levels
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems and processes
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records
- Support the maintenance team by ensuring the availability of critical spare parts
- Continuously improve inventory management processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Create comprehensive work packs for maintenance teams, including identifying resources and materials required, and any procedures to be followed
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure maintenance opportunities and material availability for both weekly and annual outages
- Demonstrate safety awareness and support safety targets through effective maintenance planning and scheduling
About You
We are looking for individuals that have proven experience in inventory control or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or maintenance environment. Trade background will be distinct advantage.

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Solution-focused and strategic thinking
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Extensive knowledge of maintenance operations and spare parts management
- Proficient in operating CMMS system (MEX/SAP) and MS office
