About the opportunity
As a Grounds person, you will be joining our Kapuni whānau in a dynamic and fast paced manufacturing environment.
Day to day you’ll have the responsibility of:
- The day-to-day maintenance and repairs of our buildings including doors, flashings, roofing, painting, water leaks etc
- Managing small building/roofing projects.
- The upkeep of our grounds, gardens, lawns, roads and drainage.
- Completing core compliance actives, inventory management and documentation control.
- Operating EWP’s (Knuckle booms, scissor lifts) and forklift operation including advance operation (man cage).
We have an excellent training and development culture, and this is a fantastic opportunity to learn about our site, plant, and processes to build on your knowledge and experience.
About you
This is a busy and varied role, we are looking for an energetic self-starter who enjoys the outdoors, who has a trade background and experience with building, plumbing and painting.
You’ll be a practical hands-on person who is ready to roll your sleeves up and pitch in where needed and your ability to work well and communicate with others will be key in maintaining a cohesive team across the site.
To be successful you will have:
- A trade background of building, roofing, painting or plumbing.
- Have a strong self and time management skills.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Be adaptable while also remaining calm under pressure.
- Be physically fit.
- Have a basic level of computer skills across the Microsoft applications.
