About the opportunity
As a Maintenance Electrician, you’ll use your solid electrical experience to navigate through changing work priorities to plan and implement preventative maintenance initiatives, particularly around our cheese manufacturing and whey processing.
You’ll be a key member of the Maintenance Team with a strong focus on Health and Safety and maintenance best practices.
Your forward-thinking, drive, and ability to achieve results will benefit you here, as you’ll have plenty of scope to drive continuous improvement on equipment and process reliability with some of the industry's leading-edge automated technology.
A natural at coping with change, you’ll be capable of reacting to unplanned breakdowns and troubleshooting issues as they occur. Additional areas of focus may include instrumentation services for the site maintenance of PLC equipment and motors and writing standard operating procedures.
What you’ll bring
You will need to be a registered A-grade electrician with a current practising licence. Other beneficial skills and experience include:
· Proven experience in maintenance roles within dairy, food, farming, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
· Strong diagnostic skills, with the ability to manage breakdowns and perform root cause analysis.
· Hands-on experience with PLC systems, instrumentation, and automated manufacturing equipment.
· Familiarity with CMMS platforms (ideally MEX) for maintenance planning and tracking.
· Skilled in general industrial maintenance, including equipment repair, failure analysis, and preventative maintenance.
· Excellent problem-solving, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and team-oriented attitude.
