Fonterra Oceania is our newly formed entity that merges the Fonterra Brands New Zealand (FBNZ) and Fonterra Australia operations, aimed at enhancing our competitive position in the trans-Tasman dairy market. The integration of Fonterra Brands New Zealand (FBNZ) and Fonterra Australia builds on similarities to outperform the competition, create scale and synergies, and will strengthen our competitive edge. This role will join a team that helps to build an even stronger trans-Tasman dairy business with reach across Oceania and beyond.

About the opportunity | Te whiwhinga mahi

Step into a pivotal role where your expertise in compliance will directly support Fonterra’s mission to deliver world-class dairy products. As the Compliance Lead at our Takaanini site, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our food safety and quality standards are not just met but exceeded. Reporting to the FS&Q Manager this role will see you:

• Lead and coordinate external regulatory and customer audits, ensuring timely resolutions.

• Oversee and enhance internal audit programs, driving compliance with global standards.

• Manage food safety risk assessments and guide corrective actions.

• Support product grading and release decisions, ensuring only the best reaches our customers.

• Build expertise across teams, fostering a culture of quality and compliance.

About you | Ko wai koe

You’re passionate about food safety and quality, with a proven ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes. With your strong leadership and collaborative mindset, you’ll thrive in this focused and impactful role. In addition to this you will have:

• A tertiary qualification in Science, Food Technology, or a related field.

• 1-2 years of quality management experience, ideally in food production or manufacturing.

• Knowledge of FSSC22000 or similar global food safety standards.

• Proficiency in managing quality systems and leading audits.

• Confidence communicating, influencing and engaging diverse stakeholders.
